HOW TO PLAY

SongSpot World FAQ

Everything about the music guessing game.

What is SongSpot World?

A free browser game that asks you to name a song from a short audio preview. Each wrong guess or skip unlocks a longer clue.

How do I play?

Press Play, search for a track, select a result, and submit your guess. Try to get it right with as little audio as possible.

How long are the clips?

The five stages are 0.1, 0.5, 2, 8, and 15 seconds. You can switch individual stages on or off in the options.

Can I play on a phone?

Yes. SongSpot World works on modern phones, tablets, and desktop browsers. Headphones help with the shortest clues.

Can I challenge a friend?

After a round ends, choose Challenge your friend. The copied link opens the same track and shows the time to beat.

How often can I play?

There is no daily limit. The game remembers your recent songs, solved songs, streak, and settings in this browser.

How do streaks work?

A correct answer adds one to your streak. Losing a round resets it. Rerolling after your first guess or skip counts as a loss.

Where do the songs come from?

The game uses a curated catalog of songs from the original SongSpot game plus Deezer previews. Preview files from the original catalog are hosted on SongSpot World’s Cloudflare R2 bucket.
